At Enterprise, a confirmation number can mean..abs
Pros: I reserved a car a month in advance, I called to confirm and find out how to arrange for a pick up to get the car the day before I needed it. The next day I called an hour prior to needing the car as suggested. I was told that they did not have any cars and that it is not their fault that people don't return the cars and that I should try another of their locations. So I called another location and got a similiar story and the added note that all of their cars were sent to Sarasota airport. Then I called the customer service number and asked to speak to a mgr. He seemed more customer oriented so I held on while he made some calls to correct the problem. He told me that there were cars at the Sarasota airport but that they could not pick me up - could I have someone take me there- I could get my car there at the agreed upon rate that I was originally quoted. I had some one drive me, during a harried traffic hour I might add and they dropped me off and left. After waiting a few minutes on line it was my turn. Yes, they could give me a car but at over 3 times more than the agreed upon rate ! I even had a new confirmation number for this rental but they refused to honor it. Airport rates are always higher they said. I was so upset, I could no longer afford to get a car and had no transportation back hpme to boot. They could not have cared less ! I travel several times a year to this area but usually rent a car at Tampa airport from Alamo or Avis. This was also my first time using Kayak

Fast and easy
Pros: We dropped our car off in Bradenton. It was easy to find the return area and the attendant was quick and helpful.
Pros: It was small and easy to park. I liked the license plate number because it made it easy to find.
Cons: As I drove onto the road...the gas wasn't just low, the gas light was on which I thought was unsafe. I reported that when I dropped off the car and the man told me there is nothing they can do about the amount of gas left in a tank when other people drop off cars there. I think somebody should take another look at that policy...look at the gas amount left in the car for instance and charge the person bringing it back if it is under 1/4 of a tank. If there isn't a way to put gas in a car Hertz should provide the attendants with a can of gas they could put in...

Lack of information
Pros: Hertz neglected to tell me they needed a copy of my insurance card which was not with me. Had I known ahead of time I could have brought it. They had just changed the policy but didn't make it known. Did not rent the car after all because of their lack of willingness to work with me. Accepted no responsibility for their

Pros: Comfortable car with plenty of room inside. Car was clean and ready when I arrived. Best price of all the rental agencies I looked at.
Cons: Only 1 key and no remote with alarm.

Pros: The vehicle (a 2017 Chevy Malibu with 28,000 miles) performed well and had surprisingly good gas mileage range from a 13 gallon fuel tank. Additionally, the trunk was very spacious. The Malibu was very quiet and handled highway speeds quite well.
Cons: The 4 cylinder engine was leisurely from a standing stop to highway speeds. The seats were of middling comfort, and less so on long drives because of a lack of lumbar support. Most egregious is the fact that the renter prior to me had obviously smoked in the vehicle, and the Hertz cleaning crew attempted to mask the tobacco smell with a horribly floral scent that was virtually intolerable. When I brought this up upon return of the rental, the agent merely offered a prefunctory "I apologize for that on behalf of the company." I would not rent from this location again.

Pros: i had a car but at high cost
Cons: I made a reservation and was given a price only to arrive that day and not be given that price, to be told i was a liar, when i still had the email confirmation.
Cons: They tried to charge me because the interior was a little messy

Polite & efficient.
Pros: Rented a car in Bradenton FL. The young lady that helped me was efficient, polite and got me on the road with a clean car. There were no hidden price surprises or difficulties. I am a very satisfied customer.

Like driving a new car off the lot!!!!
Pros: Excellent value for the price! Clean/friendly/best
Pros: Joe Ulisano, Avis agency operator was great to deal with. Avis had a location in the above airport. Rates were in $700+ range for a week. I went on Kayak & this location and $227 rate popped up. This is a $20 taxi ride takes 15 minutes to get to. it is a true hidden gem and a no brainier $$ wise. We had s new Chevrolet Equinox. We will always use Kayak and seek out Joe later this winter when we return to the area.
Pros: The convenience of being able to pick up in TAMPA AND DROP OFF IN BRADENTON and vice versa. Location is close to highway and easy to get to. Office is inside Sears so there is a place to turn in the key if you drop off after hours even though technically there is no after hours drop off accepted.
The car I picked up on the way back was clean.
Cons: The office is only open till 1 on weekends and no after hours drop off. I turned in the car the key and the contract at 1:05 anyway even though the office was closed. Next Monday tried to call-- impossible to reach by phone-no one ever answers--had to drive back to find a clerk who is completely incompetent. he charged me a $14 fee for "driving less than 75 miles" when actually the charge was for not filling tank even though I put in more gas than I used and turned in a receipt to prove it at drop off. When I picked up a car a week later to return to Tampa the same guy Joe recorded the wrong starting milage so it looked like I drove over 2000 miles. Just appalling and inexcusable service.
