Cons: Nothing, was perfect
7.5 Good
Pros: Perryville was the quaintest place we stayed on our trip. Beautiful, authentic, attention to details.. all superb!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely, graceful lodging by the harbor, shops & pubs. The breakfast is the best in Ireland & even surpassed that we had onboard the Queen Mary 3 Cunard cruise ship. The pillows are fluffy & ever so comfortable, as was the bed. And when we had drinks in the lounge, they provided complimentary chips & peanuts. You will love your choice if you stay here.
Cons: This really isn't a problem, but you should be aware that....The free parking is across the street on the side of the road. It is roped off & you either need to wait for someone to come out & assist you, or you could move the rope & supports yourself. If you wait, someone will come to help & will carry your suitcases to your room.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Amazing ambiance, exceptional service, best breakfast in Ireland, tasteful old world decor and Andrew was a great host. You won’t find it listed on some rating services because they don’t want to pay the fees. Nor do they need to.
Cons: Not a thing.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything... We had a lovely room, very comfortable bed with super bed linen. Ensuite with plenty of room & excellent shower. There were very well appointed drawing rooms... which unfortunately we hadn't an opportunity to try out . Furniture throughout was antique. Breakfast was outstanding all home cooked using superb local produce. The breakfast room was very spacious ensuring we had a most enjoyable & leisurely meal. We only stayed for one night but look forward to returning again and again.
Cons: Nothing

Cons: My only suggestion is fridge in bedroom to chill water, wine, juice or whatever.

9.6 Excellent
Pros: Great at breakfast and dinner. Staff. Top of their game
6.0 Good
Pros: Facilities
Cons: The hotel is hard to find. Even the GPS struggled to get us there. Old world atmosphere, with some unusual and welcome additions; a bottle of whisky at the reception desk to parch the thirst and ease the frustration of locating the place. Another fun touch, a putter and play practice green in the room. It is a nice place but would I stay there again? probably not. It's the little things that matter in a hotel and the dinning reception left us cold. We made dinner reservations and showed up on time, appropriately dressed, only to be kept waiting while others streamed by, were welcomed, and seated. Eventually,We were placed in a back room at what must have been the worst table in the place, center stage, traffic area in a room surrounded by cozy booths. The Food and service excellent, but the second rate treatment left a bad taste. So we move on, to a better experience somewhere else.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was terrific. The staff is young and very enthusiastic. They were always so accommodating and well trained. FRANK the concierge was the best. Gave us so many great recommendations. Totally on point. Will surely go back.

It is a place of utter luxury and relaxation. A dream location for anyone wanting to experience a slice of heaven
Cons: Not applicable
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Restaurant, staff and food was 6 star
Cons: Maybe check the room appliances like the iron and press?
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The rooms were beautiful, clean, and spacious. We arrived early, got a room quickly, and even were upgraded to a suite just like that. The staff treated us like queens and kings, making us feel like part of their family. Everyone was cheerful and helpful during our stay, and the bartenders were eager to talk about local places to see and shop at. A highlight indeed for our Ireland trip.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The welcome at reception set the tone immediately, the friendliness of the staff throughout, especially Jack the Barman and Maria in the Spa.
Cons: Our entire experience was beyond our expectations.

8.3 Excellent
Pros: Very nice host. Great breakfast. Quiet for sleeping. Exceptionally clean. Convenient free parking. Location is right next to the sea and there are some decent restaurants a short drive away.
Cons: Unusable WiFi in room. We needed to go sit in the front hall to have WiFi good enough to communicate. This should be fixed. It’s not that hard. Room was pretty small. The place is really pretty far from Kinsale. We knew this to be the case, but didn’t realize it would be so inconvenient. We would have preferred to be in town, but others might prefer the peaceful seaside location.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Had an enjoyable stay. Pleasant host.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Nice home with beautiful views of farms down the hill. A little bit away from town, but we did have a car. The owner allowed us to check in early, since we flew in that morning and were quite jet lagged. House was quiet, clean and pleasant. Breakfast was very good and the staff was accommodating. The pancakes were delightful. I especially enjoyed the walk down the road with beautiful views and the sitting area outside, where I was able to sit peacefully and watch the sunset. Their friendly dog visited me as well.
Cons: The owners seemed a little pre-occupied, but all of our needs were met.

Cons: Nothing!
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful home, host was delightful (so friendly), location great for all we wanted to do.
Cons: The only negative was the ?college students making noise on there way home from the pubs late at night.
5.1 Okay
Pros: The breakfast was good.
Cons: When I arrived, the owner claimed he did not receive the fax advising of my reservation for a double room. He first sent me to a twin room which had little space. After complaining, he moved me to a room with two twin beds and said he would push them together. He did not do that. Overall I was unimpressed with the accommodations.
6.5 Good
Pros: Location plus comfort v.good
Cons: I was overcharged by 8 euro in what was already over priced. Also I was 30 minutes ahead of schedule for breakfast as had to be somewhere first morning but no hot breakfast offered.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This was a lovely place to spend a night during a short business trip to Cork. It is quiet, very comfortable, and strikingly clean. The breakfast provides a wide variety of options from the 'full Irish', a vegetarian cooked option, to fruit, cereal, and toast. The staff and owner could not be more helpful. The location is very good, opposite the main entrance to UCC, and a few minutes walk from the city centre.
7.9 Good
Pros: Friendly staff. Great location.
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: Breakfast ok.
Cons: Very small room attic style at top of house. Tiny wardrobe, mini wash basin, 4'6" bed. Glad my wife wasn't with me. Ill-attached toilet seat. Noisy road from all-night traffic. Not landlord's fault students' rag week in full spate till late. Poor value at €130 for single room use, with non-cancellable booking.

Pros: Excellent b&b, great host and wonderful accommodation, lovely breakfast
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Great bed

Pros: Room was large with superb views out to the water and the boats.
Cons: No decaf coffee until we asked then solid sachets provided, probably intended for a coffee machine. Insufficient milk sachets - again we had to ask.
6.3 Good
Pros: The view, if you had one.
Cons: On booking.com room was to have a harbor view, it did not. The room was directly on the road with one window you could barely crack and no A/C. Buyer beware only the superior rooms have direct harbor views and A/C

7.5 Good
Pros: Nice facilities. The bar and cinema are very nice. Staff helpful and friendly.
Cons: Beds were quite hard. No fridge in the room which we would have liked this trip.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The bedroom was very comfortable.
Cons: There was an extra charge for simple breakfast items such as pancakes (€3) on top of the €18.50. I thought that was steep for a very basic breakfast selection.
5.4 Okay
Cons: Food very expensive and not worth the money wouldn't stay again we felt ripped off
8.3 Excellent
Pros: Nice room and facilities.
Cons: The only problem we had was housekeeping knocking room to see if we were leaving even though we had over an hour before checkout. Reception offered us a free breakfast but we did not take them up on the offer.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: All the staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. Very accommodating, service was excellent. Bedrooms were cleaned and replenished everyday. Facilities were excellent
Cons: No complaints.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: The staff were lovely and the facilities were amazing. The swimming pool area is top quality also. Really enjoyed our stay and will be back again.
Cons: You have to pre book a table in the restaurant or you wont get a table. There also seems to be no good restaurants in the area you will have to trek to cork city centre or order in.
7.1 Good
Pros: The style and location
Cons: The service in the dining room and on the terrace was very poor. I sat with my finished dinner plate in front of me for over 15 minutes, I had to ask a member of staff to remove it, it was the same at breakfast. It seemed that once good was served you were forgotten about. I expected staff to be vigilant and ask if I wanted more drinks etc.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Apartment was comfortable and well equipped. Pool is great. We liked everything about this hotel.
Cons: Nothing that we can think of...a high chair in the apartment for families might be helpful but that’s being very picky!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: The in-house free cinema with daily features and complimentary popcorn is amazing. A good way to idle a couple of hours after dinner on a rainy night. The restaurant is also very good and provides some excellent views over the river Lee and downtown Cork. Finally, the staff is all very friendly and helpful.
Cons: No AC on the bedrooms in a 4-star hotel. This is an odd choice to say the least. You can make do with the window and a small fan in the room, but in warmer days the hotel gets really hot and sleeping becomes tricky.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: From the moment you arrive at the beautiful Montenotte you feel like you’re at home. All the staff are incredible, they all are committed to you having an amazing stay. The girls at the front desk gave awesome recommendations on restaurants, cocktail bars and anything else we asked. I ran into some problems with the train timing and when I phoned the hotel the staff offered to drive my luggage to the airport to ensure I didn’t miss my flight. There was literally nothing they wouldn’t do to ensure your stay is exceptional. The front desk team is amazing words cannot describe my gratitude to all of them for making our trip so spectacular. The cameo is so wonderful- a great way to relax and have a night in. The restaurant food is Delicious, the ambience is stunning The entire decor of the hotel is fun and colourful, yet welcoming and relaxing. I would stay here over and over again this hotel and its staff are a true gem! Thank you all for everything

Cons: Personal preference here more than anything but the bar didn't quite do it for me. they needed to pull out a makeshift tv screen for sport but I imagine sports is not the vibe the place is going for so I wouldnt hold this against them.

Pros: Staff members are always super kind and professional.
Cons: As soon as we stepped into the room we noticed a thick smell of cigarettes. Someone was surely smoking in the room before our arrival. Also, the room was not worth 108 Euros for 1 night as tables were scratched and TV did not work properly ( it blacked out twice ).

10.0 Excellent
Pros: Lovely lovely hotel , clean and both relaxing and entertaining with films shown at night , a beautiful bar/ restaurant with delicious vegetarian dishes available for dinner . Staff were friendly and welcoming and room service excellant. We had to check out very early for a flight at 4am and were offered croissants and jiuce as this was before breakfast time Highly reconmended hotel .
Cons: There is nothing to complain about , literally the only slight annoyance was that I forgot to pack my comb/brush , these were advertised in the hotel shop list but not actually available but im really scraping the barrel with this as it was only slightley annoying because I had to go into town before I could buy one.

Pros: Everything.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything!! Have stayed here several times and recommend it to all my friends traveling to this destination from the USA. NEVER DISAPPOINTS. The absolute BEST most accommodating staff ever.
5.7 Okay
Pros: Location and cleanliness, except for being a smoking room, of the hotel are very good.
Cons: We had to book online at the last minute. Booked 3 rooms for 3 adult family couples. When we got there we realized with the rooms given, no way to tell online, we could get away with 2 rooms as they were big rooms. We asked to change and weren't allowed because of the online booking. Also one day of the rooms assigned was a smoking room that smelled very strongly of cigarettes, again asked to change and weren't allowed to. Rooms were quite pricey as well, the most expensive night on our 2 week vacation was at this hotel. Had breakfast the next morning and one room came with breakfast, no idea why?
9.7 Excellent
Cons: Great overall. Slow service in lobby area for the lobby menu was only complaint.

Pros: Loved the hotel and the staff but the Restaurant for dinner was very disappointing. Very slow service and the staff at the restaurant, while very friendly were poorly trained
9.4 Excellent
Pros: While the wait staff (excluding the bar staff) were rather helpful, the one working elevator was slow, the spa did not have any openings, and we received a 3am wake up call that we did not authorize. For a luxury hotel, they have some work to do.

Pros: The property was in a beautiful house that has been restored. The bathroom looked newly remodeled and the shower was nice. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a family room that had a good amount of space for our party of 3.
Cons: The location wasn’t quite as close to the city center as I hoped, but still within walking distance. The area is quite hilly. The parking lot was fairly slanted which was a scary driving a stick shift rental car. Apparently automatic cars are very rare in Ireland.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff were outstanding. Friendly and helpful. Wonderful views over the city. Amazing garden with rabbits hens and ducks.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The front desk officer , Valerie is a personification of high standards and quality service in a hospitality area. She was extremely professional , polite and welcoming, not only providing me with all necessary information about the city, but she also helped me to carry my extra heavy luggage to the second floor and to get it down the following day. In general terms, the staff is very friendly and it feels like an owner and manager do a good job and take care of its personnel . Undoubtedly , I recommend to everyone who is passing by Cork City to stay at Gabriel House .

Pros: We absolutely loved the location. The staff was so helpful and gave additional points of interest for our trip especially as we were heading from Kinsale to the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula. Our room was on the top floor and had an amazing view of the moon and the bay. Kitty O'se's next door had the best Irish music we saw on our 12-day trip
9.2 Excellent
Pros: Accommodation was in the town center which was very convenient. Room and bathroom was clean and nice. Parking was available and breakfast was really great. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
Cons: Bit expensive for what we expected to receive.

8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely large light and airy rooms 1 and 3
Cons: Bed was okay..... Towels are thin and small
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We absolutely loved the Old Dispensary. This property was a great value and the location to downtown and restaurants was perfect. We had a wonderful dinner at Fishy Fishy which was only a 2 minute walk away. The Manager Julie was extremely helpful. I can not say enough good things about the town of Kinsale, the people there and this property.
Cons: The location was a bit of a challenge on our GPS, but we eventually arrived. Possibly giving a GPS coordinate for the parking lot, and signs leading to the Old Dispensary would be helpful.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Very clean, large room and bathroom, comfortable and quiet.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Greated with a smile, very clean and loads of space in the room
Cons: Not 1 thing wrong with our room
9.2 Excellent
Pros: The room is equipped with shampoo, soap and even toilet wipes. Meri was lovely greeting us and the place is really close to where all the fun is without having all the big crowds around or noises from the streets.
Cons: The room was a little noisy. We had a woman in the room next door on face time with her family on loud speaker which woke both my boyfriend and I up at around 7 in the morning. Also I found the pillows were too thick and couldn't get a proper sleep, but all the rest was lovely.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: We stayed for 1 night. Great location, easy walk around the village with many restaurants and pubs offering a great range of foods and nice shopping. Meri, the friendly property manger met us and showed us to our apartment which was large, light, modern and very comfortable.
Cons: Nothing at all!
9.7 Excellent
Pros: The location was great, right within walking distance of the bay and shops. I loved the room and bathroom. Everything looked and felt new and the style was very welcoming. The property owner was very nice and made sure I was comfortable.
Cons: The room I had was on the 2nd floor and didn't really have a great view out of the window, but this was a minor thing for me. A toaster and coffee maker was provided but there was no breakfast or facilities for refrigerating anything.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location was great, less than a 5 minute walk into the town.
Cons: For what we paid, I expected a lot more. When we arrived, both rooms had to request more toilet roll- our room . was completely out. We had no milk in the room with the tea/coffee. The bath mat was stained with bleach. The bed was very uncomfortable and we could feel the springs coming through it. No breakfast facilities on the premises. The bottoms of the doors were so far away from the ground that you could hear all the other noises coming through (and the lights from the hallway) We were provided an old phone number to ring when we were checking in so we were waiting around to be checked in. This old number was also still on the information sheets inside of the room. There were 2 old shampoo bottles from previous guests in the room. The shampoo and soaps provided by the accommodation were from lidl. Expected some nicer things considering it is an expensive place to stay. No view at all.
8.8 Excellent
Pros: We stayed at this B&B for 2 nights located in the heart of Kinsale. It was very easy to get around the town on foot. We did a lovely hike to Fort Charles located nearby. The room was very large, clean, and nicely decorated. There is no onsite host however we were greeted by a lovely manager who was friendly and gave us great suggestions and information on Kinsale. Breakfast is not included but tea and coffee facilities were located in the room.
Cons: We arrived on a busy weekend in July and parking was very difficult as the street is really narrow and spaces limited. We were later able to move our vehicle to a closer spot.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Lovely location
Cons: Was very small especially the bathroom and shower though I had booked a different apartment they are all listed jus make sure you book what u need.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The Old Dispensary is in a great location. The room was amazing. We met Meri and she was so pleasant and very helpful. Couldn't fault anything. Will definitely be back. Thank you Meri.

Pros: Great staff and location. Special shoutout to John, the Concierge, he was the best!!!! Resourceful and unbelievably accommodating. Also enjoyed the conversation with John, our bartender at the MET Bar.
5.8 Okay
Pros: Good Breakfast
Cons: Room no ventilation - could not open windows. Was like an oven and use of fan made no improvement
5.4 Okay
Pros: Nice lobby and downstairs
Cons: Bedrooms were very dated and needed renovation, unbearably hot, tv with very bad picture (old bulky tv) paint peeling off bathroom ceiling and nigh on impossible to get mixer tap for shower to give right temperature!
10.0 Excellent
Cons: Only issue we had is the room was very hot when we checked in but a quick call to the front desk & maintenance took care of issue. We realize the hotel is a landmark but as the climate changes A/C should be seriously considered.
7.1 Good
Cons: Having a double bed with one side against the wall. Only 1 chair. Room 324 was not really big enough for 2. Only 2 coat hangers.
8.8 Excellent
Cons: The room was far too hot and airless, even with the window open
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything
Cons: Lovely place and people couldn't do enough for you
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Very comfortable bed and great pillows. Bathroom light and very clean. For a small space it worked well.
Cons: One small and slow lift and the stair access was hard to find.
9.0 Excellent
Pros: Breakfast was not included so did not experience it. Lobby and sitting area very nice for afternoon tea or drinks. Bar is very attractive with lovely staff. Although the hotel room itself was small it was well designed and very comfy, especially as I was traveling alone. Excellent location. Close to train and bus stations, retail and dining.
Cons: I suppose I would have been delighted if breakfast were included with the room rate instead of an additional 12-15 Euros.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Solid old style hotel

Pros: The staff and hotel were lovely. Friendly and central location.
Cons: Pillows could be updated and the cheap TV let the room down.

Pros: Great location, friendly staff. Lovely room.
9.6 Excellent
Pros: Friendly Staff at Reception. Helped with suitcases. Very good Dinner and again, friendly and helpful Staff. Minor confusion over our Order and the final Bill, but quickly sorted without any fuss.
Cons: A bit difficult to find actual entrance to Hotel, as a totally different Restaurant on Street side. Also, a bit difficult to wheel heavy bags over so many cobbles. But they were authentic and attractive! Perhaps a small flat path through them to Entrance would be helpful. Not a major problem.

Pros: Check-in: Very smooth. The staff were very efficient and helpful. Rooms: The rooms were a good size, well-decorated, overlooking the carpark and the river. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast: We did not have breakfast included in our room rate, so we purchased the cooked breakfast (which also includes the continental buffet spread). The breakfast was excellent. Plenty of options and very tasty. The hotel was in a decent location. We walked up and down Washington St to visit many Cork attractions; plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops on the street as well! Also a reasonable driving distance to Blarney Castle and gardens.
