Pros: I liked the location and friendly staff. Lots of amenities, but didn't use them. My room was spacious with fridge, microwave, coffee/tea maker, iron with board, & hairdrier.

There were contractors in the halls without masks , plastic all over the floors and elevators, some of the amenities were not even available, and the contractors were working to all hours of the night so it was noisy as well. Cons: I requested a handicap room and it was on the first floor which was nice. Unfortunately, my room was also right next to the ice machine (which produced ice all night) and the kitchen. I heard them from 4:45am until the end of breakfast. Terrible!

Pros: We have stayed here several times since are daughter moved to Colorado Springs. Clean, friendly, good breakfast and close to several hiking trails and sightseeing opportunities. Love that they have ice water available 24/7 to keep travelers well hydrated.

Pros: The rooms were nice. The beds were very comfortable and hotel quality. And I was so pleasantly surprised that the water was so hot and no shortage of it. I rented 2 rooms, a king suite and a double.

Cons: The facility was under a major renovation. I was NOT informed of this and would not have chosen this facility had I known. On the HIE website, the hotel confirmed that all amenities were in full function. Unfortunately when we arrived we found out otherwise. The pool was closed as otherwise indicated, breakfast was not a full buffet as otherwise indicated (the last two mornings we were served from a paper bag) nor was the gym open. The lobby with the coffee bar was non-existent. They had my family entering through a backdoor lined with cardboard boxes split open over the floor. The staff was mediocre. They informed us that housekeeping was not available least requested therefore leaving an astronomical amount of trash in the ice machine (which did not produce ice. It was later repaired per my request) area which reaked of old food. The trash was taken out after I asked and was informed that it would be done. Every day after trash was removed. The double had some backup in the bathtub on the second day. The staff moved them immediately. When I booked my rooms I requested that our rooms be close to each other. They were not close nor even on the same floor. After the bathtub mishap, they were miraculously able to accommodate my request and put the rest of my family down the hall from me. In closing, I am VERY disappointed with my stay at Holiday Inn Express. I took my family on a trip to Colorado Springs Colorado and the hotel accommodations were huge as there were several of us in my family and we were in a state/area that I was unfamiliar with and needed the hotels amenities to be available to us IN FULL. Having to adjust to the hotel is something I should not have had to do.

Cons: The hot water in the sink was very, very hot and the shower temperature was tepid before 8 am and literally cold after 8 am. One of us had to take a cold shower on day one and on day 2 the other had to take the cold shower.

Pros: First, I give a fair objective review. Not a subjective review based on an emotional state. Also, I am a highly seasoned traveler, both in the US and abroad. So you understand, the building is not a new structure. Regardless of this, it was well maintained from what I experienced. Safety: The Hotel is adjacent to Peterson AFB. The management has a good video monitoring system. The staff was vigilant with this system. The outside doors are key card access only during evening hours. I appreciate these measures because they are a deterrent against nefarious activity and people. Some said that derelicts wander the outside grounds. I saw none of this. The outside grounds should have better lighting in the parking lot and the lot spaces are a little crowded but my car was fine every day I stayed. Cleanliness: The facility was clean and tidy and so was my room. Some reviews complained about the carpet being in poor condition. I saw none of this. The carpet, in my room and in the hall outside my room was clean and spot free. Some complained about an odd smell. I detected none of this. Like many many hotels, the operator uses an air freshener. Nothing uncommon. I generally open my window in my room when I lodge to let in fresh air. In my experience there is no problem with this. On the following morning of my first overnight stay, the entire upstairs bank of rooms was outfitted with brand new mattresses. Didn’t ask why but it appeared that the operator was making upgrades. I was happy with this. In the morning of my second overnight stay I saw staff walking the grounds, picking up any trash. I really appreciate this since I have never seen a hotel do this. This shows they care about their business inside and out. I think I read a complaint of beg bugs. No, there wasn’t any in my experience. Sheets and linen were clean and house keeping comes and does a good cleaning daily. They come early so if you plan to sleep in put your do not disturb sign up or you will get woken with a knock for service. Again, I count this as a good thing. It means they take their business seriously. Staff: The staff is great. Front desk is very personable. I showed early and due to a booking schedule issue on my part I wasn’t booked for the first night when I arrived. The front desk still checked me in and gave me the booked rate I would have had had I not messed up my own schedule. Bottom line they accommodate. I was thankful because my booked rate was a great low rate. They just gave it to me. Amenities: King single rooms, queen single rooms and queen doubles are available. They supply in room - cable tv with movie channels, coffee and coffee maker, cups, ice bucket, alarm clock, pen and paper, hair dryer (which is good) sink, toilet, and bath/shower. All is pretty standard. They have coin operated laundry service on the property. Free parking and WiFi. Breakfast was seriously minimal and needs work. Offering no free breakfast won’t break the deal for staying at this hotel but continuing it as it is detracts. Hotel needs to either drop breakfast or fix it. Value: This is a two star hotel but in my book a good one. The room rates were a great value for anyone on a budget, with a family or penny pinching. Bottom Line: This is a good hotel and I would definitely stay again. Unless you are a picky grump who thinks they are entitled to Champaign service from a two star hotel, you will be pleased with your stay here. I recommend and would stay again.

Cons: 3 sad pillows for 2 queen beds The smoke detector was covered with a bag 2 towels and no wash cloths Vending machines did not work. Had to go to hotel next door to get anything. No food or beverages in the morning.

Pros: I love the fact that they gave me a discount after them telling me the TV wasn't working. I mean, I would've taken it without it, but the fact that they let me know and actually try to make it up in customer service means a lot!

The hallway was hot due to lack of adequate air conditioning. In the room itself it was absolutely horrible. The carpet had multiple visible stains on it to where I didn't even want to walk barefoot on the floor! Had I known in advance the conditions of my room, I NEVER would have wasted my money on booking this room. I will NEVER stay at that hotel again!

The back over looks a field that has been taken over by homeless. Want a full refund.

It not my fault THEY LOST IT i want my money back. Oh yea and in our room only the restroom light and 1 lamp worked thats all
