Pros: A central place, a very nice and confi futon, and the staff is also very nice. About the bedding, I thinks it was the most confortable futon I had. Its close to the Ritsurin Park, close to the shop street and many restaurant. I was traveling with main road bike and they let me put it on the lobby, which I did really appreciate. Almost the perfect place for a guest house.

Pros: Went to Takamatsu during Obon week and this hostel was the only one left with reasonable prices (but still rather expensive). Additonally the 'interesting' design of the dorm room offers more privacy than typical hostel dorms. Rooms are clean and well maintained.

Cons: No kitchenette for cooking though they at least provide a fridge and microwave. The separate cubicles are indeed very private, however, air circulation is lacking and unless you leave open your door it'll get very warm (stayed there in August). JR Takamatsu station is quite some distance by foot but still manageable.

Pros: It was generally clean, close to the Kawaramachi tram stop and downtown area, friendly and professional staff, individual lockable capsule.

Cons: It would be nice to have soap in the toilets (currently only at basin in the hallway), sometimes the main door and the door to the dorms were both unlocked which seems insecure - perhaps emphasise to guests the need to lock the door after themselves when they come in late or leave early.

Pros: The place was absolutely lovely. The room was big and nice. Everything is really new and well made. Also the owner and other staff of the place are so welcoming and nice. We really enjoyed it and will definitely come back

Pros: Really near to Kawaramachi Station, which is a couple of stops from main Takamatsu Station. Not too far to beautiful Ritsurin Garden. Lots of good restaurants and bars very nearby. If we went back would probably hire bikes from guest house as looks like a good city to cycle around in, although not necessary for bars and restaurants as they are really nearby. Staff very helpful. We stored our bags there for the day after our stay. Cute Japanese room with private toilet and kitchen. Comfortable Japanese-style beds.

Cons: Showers downstairs and through courtyard, but not the end of the world as there is a toilet and sink in the room.

Pros: Hotel is a bit dated but still ok. Environment is nice and beautiful. Onsen is good. Choice for breakfast not much, dinner is very good though.

Pros: The place is based in a calm environment providing great view from the bedroom. The room is big and comes with a comfortable bed. The bathroom is small but clean and pleasant. The staff is great and tries to be really helpful to you for any of your requests. The Shiryama station is 3 minutes on foot which connects the city in less than 30 minutes.

Cons: The place is slightly secluded and doesn't offer many restaurants and stores around. The restaurant onsite closed at 9pm and it was a struggle to find something for dinner after.

Cons: The rooms are small and old. The hotel is located far from the train station. But you can take a bus from the nearby bus stop to the sightseeing spots

Pros: It's a nice clean, new hotel with friendly staff who want to help. The large rooms are quiet.

Cons: Pillows in hotels run by the Anabuki chain have a strange tail that makes them very hard to use.

Cons: Smoking room stay by mistack for one night, the smelling was very strong even with open windows.

Cons: It's 45min away from the main city, and there is no restaurant near the hotel. The bus are very rare and the last one is at 7pm so be very careful

Pros: APA Hotel exceeded our expectations! The rooms were spacious, the hot spring was very relaxing and the staff helped us get to the airport on time. Would definitely stay there again!

Cons: The hotel is very old with the smell in the room and corridor, you need a car to travel. It is 30 mins from airport and 40 mins to Takamatsu station dinner before 8 pm and you can’t find anywhere else to eat or where to go if no car to drive around. It is very remote area. Hotel has the vans but charged per person.

Pros: APA chain of hotels are really great. The overall stay was very good. It is near to the station area, so you get different shops, eateries nearby. Only one point to note, I asked a person for direction to the hotel, she said that there are 2 APA hotels near the station.So, I request visitors to kindly check which hotel you have booked into.

Cons: The reception is in the 1st floor, and location of the ground floor lift is inside through the parking area.It might be a little troublesome when you have heavy luggages. Else you can take the stairs. There is no onsen in the hotel. So for guests who prefers a relaxing hot bath in the onsen after the days work, please think again.

Pros: Room was small but clean and tidy with a good variety of toiletries. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was also convenient, only five minutes walk from Kawaramachi station. Can also walk from Takamatsu port along the shopping arcades, which only takes around 20 minutes.

Cons: The front desk was located on the 2nd floor, so had to carry the luggage for a few steps of stairs. Might have to be aware of if your luggage is huge and heavy.

Pros: Spacious room! Twin beds, PLUS Japanese-style sitting/eating area PLUS small balcony. Comfortable. V good breakfast. Pretty lake outside, hills. Loved the rather wild rural drive from Miyoshi. Slow, windy and v pretty.

Pros: A perfect place for a family to relax for a couple of days. The people were all super friendly and extremely helpful, especially the hotel manager. Our highlights: great breakfast buffet, a mix of Japanese and Western style breakfast, nice onsen, swimming pool, karaoke studios, cocktail bar. A clear recommendation.

Pros: The room was big which had two sections, you could sleep on tatami or bed. The onsen was good and I like it very much. I lost a newly bought hairband in the onsen area. The staff help me to find it out later.

Cons: The location was a bit far away. Still a long way even we drove.

Pros: Excellent Japanese style buffet breakfast available for free with your room stay. Right near the train station about 3 minute walk away. Great neighbourhood, lots to do at night. Free bottle of water left with a package of clean towels outside door next day.

Pros: It was great having onsen and sauna on site. Capsule was more spacious than I imagined, I could sit up comfortably. Staff were very friendly.

Cons: Toilets smelled kind of bad. Door to capsule sleeping area squeaked very loud when people opened it and woke me up many times. Relaxation area was smoky from cigarettes and ventilation not so good, so I didn’t want to be in there.

Pros: The capsule hotel was clean and had a nice retro charm to it. The onsen upstairs was decent allthough worn out. A very basic japanese breakfast was included. If you want to experience a night in a capsule hotel, this might be a place to try it, but there are more modern and decent places in Japan for that.

Cons: The whole place is pretty worn down, which shows especially in the toilets. The reception staff didn`t speak any english and there was no printed information in english either, so the check-in process was a real trial.

Pros: Location is the best in the center of shopping street.

Cons: Suana and hot water pool still in renovate and close but no information before booking and no discount price. I feel lost money because I choose to stay here for Sauna and hot water pool.

Cons: smoking is not only hazardous to one's health, it is involuntary manslaughter to those affected by the 2nd hand smoke. It should not be allowed in any public places and people need to be more educated about its dangerous impact on people especially women and children. Business that support public smoking should realize how criminal it actually is to people who cannot run away from situations such placing smoking stands right by elevators and other exits and entrances. Smoking will be the detriment to many people in society whether they believe it or not.
