Bangkok airport needs a redesign to make it more accommodating for passengers with long layovers between flights. It needs a better selection of restaurants, stores and rest rooms near the departure gates. It also needs a shuttle or other transport system to help passengers transit the long distances between gates in different concourses.

Someone met me at the end of my second flight to tell me I missed my connecting flight. With the adjusted flight Singapore gave me, there was no chance I would have made it. They did purchase a ticket for me on another airline to get to San Francisco in the end."

Everything seemed fine until Lao Airlines staff forced us to sign a paper were it said that if our baggage was lost, they wouldn't assume any responsibilities, because it was a "short connection time". We bought both flights in ONE ticket so we couldn't understand what was happening. At first we denied signing any releases, but then the supervisor took our boarding passes and threw us our luggage, denying us boarding. Not only that happened, we taped everything, so when we decided to sign because we couldn't afford to buy another flight, the supervisor denied us the checkin again, claiming that we HAD TO ERASE THE VIDEO otherwise they wouldn't board us. The flight was also late in leaving. There was no announcement about this until about 5 minutes after the scheduled departure time. I would give Lao Air a second chance, but no more than that. Given the choice I would definetly choose Bangkok Airlines instead."

I travel internationally quite often and know that 40 or 50kg is the norm. I was charged $8 /kg for 24kg overweight. This end up costing twice as much as the round trip flight. Now, I have to pay similar amount on the return flight. I take photographs from the airplane and found the window to be scratched."

There was no vegetarian food option, blink and you missed the drink service, the plane was quite old stock but comfortable enough. Boarding wad a little confusing - multiple flights called to the same gate at the same time and not particularly good signage about what do when you got there. Having said that, the staff were be mentally polite and tried to be helpful and that they attempted any kind of service on the 40min flight from Bangkok to Siem Reap was laudable. Still better than some experiences I've had on Ryanair or Eurowings in Europe."

What was originally 7pm flight turned in a 1230am flight, 5.5HR delay. Arrived into Siem Reap airport at 130am, which was pretty much closed. Hotel tax and regular taxi/tuktuk didn't come out at this time. We were stranded at airport and was at the mercy of overpriced hustlers who charged 3x the normal price for a riding into town. They charged $10/person and put as many people into a car/van as possible. Are vanpool had 9 people, $90 for the van in total. The airline should have arranged transportation for us to correct the situation. The hustlers didn't give receipt, this we cannot make any claims. VERY DISAPPOINTED AT CAMBODIA AIRLINES!!!!!!!!!"

The airline drove another group for a different flight to their gate but the 14 passengers on our connecting flight were left on our own to run to the gate, only to watch the plane pulling away as we ran up. The airline service desk was unapologetic and did very little to help. Since my son and I had already used our one time entry visa into Vietnam, we were not able to join the rest of the group at a local hotel. We instead had to purchase additional tickets for a 1am red-eye. Our wait in the area outside passport control had no food or water and even though we asked they would not bring us anything to eat during the 7 hours we had to wait to get our boarding passes for the red eye."

But as Vietnam continues to thrives in tourism. There will be better airlines coming and will provide better services. Even the airport in Ho Chi Minh City is horrible. Cambodia airport have amazing lounge and services. I love Vietnam. But your AIRLINES ruined the experience."

Cons: "Well, the fact that the plane didn't show up at the airport was a problem...then they were unwilling to give me an alternative route which caused me to miss my scheduled meetings. When an attempt was made to contact the Vietnam Airlines office in the USA NO ONE ever picked up the phone! At this time I'm unclear whether or not my refund is being processed. I ended up having to book a totally different ticket with another airlines (of course). First and last time I will ever attempt to fly with Vietnam Airlines."
Pros: "Vietnam airline is a good airline, reliable, mostly on time. Wet towel and a bottle of water are provided for short flight. Flight attendants were courteous and helpful."

Pros: "Nice crew good airplane flight delayed and hour and then disembarking took a long time"
Cons: "Incompetent ground staff in Siem Reap, who barely spoke English and no listening or problem solving skills. They wrongly denied boarding to one of the passengers, claiming he needed a visa that he did not need (as confirmed by Vietnam Airlines transit counter later in Ho Chi Minh city and by the Vietnamese Consulate. This resulted in us buying a brand new ticket for later time and applying for a visa, given there was no ground staff from Vietnam airlines who could help."
Pros: "Pretty much on time and airport very comfortable with some wifi. Only half full so easy. Water passed out but no snacks. Keep your boarding pass stub for transfer."
Pros: "Great. And I was very suprised they served food for less than 2 hours flight! It wound very happen in the us!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed"
Cons: "Multiple flights were cancelled for the day, so our 10am flight eventually became a 4:30 one. I hadn't checked my email the previous evening (my error) so still went to the airport really early. There was no one to confirm the 4:30 wouldn't end up cancelled too, so we booked with another carrier."
Pros: "Well organized, friendly crew, and the pilots flew and landed very smoothly."
Pros: "Flight was great but there was a problem at check in; I believe they had a computer problem but they got past it!"
Cons: "Very upset that we were not given advance notice of need for Vietnam visa to transit thru SGN to PQC. Cost us 820 usd at the REP airport."
Pros: "People are very co-operative always smiling, ready to help,clean, greenery everywhere, warmth&affection,i loved it"

Pros: "Felt like a regional jet but still fairly expensive for the region."
Cons: "Bare bones and nothing much else"
Pros: "short flight so not a lot of services required. The main plus was free 20kg checked in baggage."
Pros: "Allowed me to change time (extra charge), easy check in. Quick flight."
Cons: "Very basic, to change time I had to go to their office downtown at very specific times, wait a long time. Seem a bit disorganized."
