The hotel really added to our night in Stone Town. From the minute we arrived, to when we checking out all the staff were fantastic. The rooms are a decent size and perfect for a one or two-night stay. The bathrooms were a feature in themselves! Absolutely stunning decoration. The location is great because it is walking distance from the ferry (about 5 mins), as well as the night market for street food. There is also a currency exchange bureau within a 10-minute walk with decent rates. The hotel itself is beautiful and the photos are a true representation of it. Breakfast had some good options(fruit, pastry, omelette station etc) and it was great to be able to try Zanzibari coffee. Our group really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone staying in Stone Town.
We had no complaints - except we should have stayed another night!

The decor of the hotel, it's location, reception staff and comfortable bed. And a fridge. Breakfast was lovely.
There were no glasses in the room to drink water or in the bathroom for toothbrush etc. The toilet roll was placed too far from the toilet seat. The shower area was beautifully made but stepping in and coming out of it could have been easier for my aged wobbly knees if there was a handle on the side for support. Staff in breakfast room need more training to pick up gursts'

A heritage hotel on the waterfront, easy to find in a labyrinth like Stonetown.
Bed mattress too soft for our liking, leaky bath plug - shame! because they have nice Ottoman style (?)bathtubs.
