Hotel Verona

The location was excellent, only a few hundred meters from the main square where the arena is situated. Our bedroom was on the 5th floor, giving us a beautiful view of the city. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Yvo (spelling?) who supplied us with pots of tea in the evening as there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

It was quite hot in the room even though we came here in October. Unfortunately, if you open the window you would have heard noise from the road as the hotel was situated on the main road. So we had no choice but using the air conditioning which was rather noisy and not very efficient. Breakfast was quite adequate but nothing special; in fact, the croissants tasted like cardboard but the fresh fruit salad was excellent! A better quality of juices and a larger choice of cereals would have been appreciated!

The room was large, modern, and clean. Very good breakfast.

Somehow we got an apartment that was separate from most of the rooms. This was not clear to us at the time of booking. Our travel friends, staying in the same hotel, could not visit us unless we met them to let them into our part of the hotel. There was an extra charge for cleaning and fresh towels, as well as breakfast. Our friends had a smaller room but all of these services included in their lower price.

Delicious breakfast. Great location.
