Location, staff, charm
Rooms are a bit tired but nevertheless the price/quality ratio is outstanding and therefore I cannot complain about the rooms

Professional staff, good location.
Chose this property because it is on the grand canal, what it doesn't state clearly is that only 6 rooms actually have a view, the rest have windows looking onto eachother inside the building.

The room was the most beautiful room I have stayed in. Well laid out and incredible decor. The whole hotel is like a museum and a real feast for the senses. Service from all staff was personable, efficient and friendly. This really is an excellent hotel.
I thought the breakfast could be better. Considering this is 5 star and you pay for that service, you expect a full spread. They have a selection for breakfast which is included but anything cooked you must pay extra. Not necessary.
