Set on a private beach in Puerto Morelos, this luxury all-inclusive complex has 3 outdoor pools, 8 restaurants and a hydrotherapy spa. Suites have a terrace with sea or jungle views. Dreams Jade Resort & Spa offers a tennis school, and guests enjoy free green fees at a local golf course. Watersports facilities include kayaking, snorkelling and a PADI scuba diving centre. Decorated in bright colours, each spacious suite has a seating area, iPod dock and cable TV. Minibars are refilled daily with soft drinks and beer. Bathrooms include a spa bath and bathrobes. You can choose buffet meals or gourmet à la carte cuisine in the varied restaurants. There are swim-up pool bars and beach waiter service. Pros:We had our wedding there... it was amazing! Everyone was extremely accomodating. The resort itself is very modern for a place in Cancun with nice bathrooms and more air conditioned areas than most. The food was actually quite good for an all inclusive, something that is rare (usually the all inclusives are quite bland).

Pros:We were there to attend a wedding and the location was great! The beach is very nice if you go away from the area with seaweeds. The rooms are very nice, modern and spacious with jacuzzis and double sinks in the bathrooms. Overall the facilities are nice, the staff is friendly and we had well-coordinated wedding events. Coco Cafe is great, delicious desserts and much better coffee there than in the room or room service! The bar staff works very hard to keep up with the demand for the free cocktails! The spa was nice too and have many coupons and special deals that make it worth it. Non-motorized sports are included which is nice.
Cons:While rooms are spacious, the lighting in the closet area needs updating especially since the in-room coffee maker is in a barely lit closet. We also lost power for a couple of hours on one day. Room service was consistently late by 15 minutes or so. One day, breakfast room service was delayed due to an issue in the kitchen. Dining experiences in the Mediterranean and Mexican restaurants were really sub-par. Both served cold food. In Cin Cin, grilled salmon came half cold, half warm and the vegetarian dishes ordered by some members of our party were completely cold. In the Mexican restaurant, the fajitas had no sizzle at all, veggie enchiladas were served cold, and when we pointed that out, they were substituted with hot chicken enchiladas, which did not sit well at all with the vegetarians in the party. All in all, the restaurants need a lot of work. In addition to that, we were disappointed that the water sports desk had no fixed time for opening. One morning, we wanted to go kayaking, and the opening time for the desk kept shifting from 9:30AM->10AM->10:30AM. We finally gave up waiting for the desk to be staffed as we had to check out and leave for the airport.

Pros:The beach and the pools. The room was great! Comfortable beds and nice bedding. Friendly staff. Vary accommodating to our large group.
Cons:The bartenders were a little rude to our girls. Although I don't think they were tipping.

4.2 Mediocre
Pros:Property was undergoing MAJOR construction and renovation when we arrived. I was not expecting to be ambushed with sales pitches the entire time either. They hounded us multiple times to come to their informational presentation so that we could learn about their other properties and the VIP area of the resort. To be honest, that area was not much better than the rest of the property, and the guest staying there still had to eat at the same restaurants and got the same food as the rest of us. It made no sense to pay more for the same mediocre quality services.
Cons:Food was not impressive. The restaurants showed potential for some good cuisine, but most of the portions were too small or were just not good. The room service menu was disappointing, and the delivery took about 1 hour for each order. The room was also not the cleanest and being in the "tropical" room meant you had a view of power lines and a forest/swamp area in the back of the resort, which also smelled like sewage. I was not nearly as relaxed as I should have been.

Pros:The pool bar service staff (Polo or Marco) was excellent. The other staff was just OK ... but he made it work for us. Rooms Good. Food Good (Hamburgers GREAT), Pool Good. Wedding coordination seemed to go well for everyone. I like the Hotel Zone but this was a good alternative for us.
Cons:Beach was just OK but it works. Cleaning the Room seemed to be upon a call to Housekeeping. Location is OK - but improves if you visit Puerto Morales (FUN PLACE).
