Had a great experience at The Kimberly. The rooftop breakfast was a highlight for sure. For the money we spent i would have liked all of the sink and bathtub drains to work properly. There are also some finishings in the rooms that need work, mainly the crown molding. The building has an older look and feel, which could be updated just by some detail work and cleaning. But the staff was impeccable, all except the manager, whom we needed to speak with when we left. We were told that to retrieve our car from the valet it would take 15-20 minutes but in fact it took nearly 80 minutes, which almost cost us our reservations at Rockefeller Plaza for ice skating. The manager was inflexible, but it is what it is. All in all i would highly suggest for anyone looking to spend a weekend in outdated but beautiful opulence.

Cons:Hotel is small, rooms are small, elevators are small, room is not nice, even though it was remodeled without taste or sense of technology. Skip this hotel stay in the hotel literally in front of this one called "The Pearl Hotel". Trust me, it will not be a disappointment

Pros:The staff at this hotel were all amazing. Each one as helpful and friendly as the next. The hotel has a very nice bar/ restaurant attached. The bed was super comfy, amazing waterfall showers, and great room service menu as well. Super central to everything, shops, food, shows, transit.
Cons:Our AC broke over night, so we woke up to a huge puddle and part of the carpet was soaked from the AC leaking, but we we're checking out that day anyway and it was not anyone's fault.

Pros:The room was comfortable, a good size and very quiet. Ammenities were updated. It should be a beautiful hotel when the project is finished.
Cons:Hotel was under construction which was not noted in the description. The lobby was moved to the second floor (from the first) and lots of workers and equipment were evident. there was a bit of work dust in the 2nd floor lobby.

Pros:This was our third stay at the Time over the last 5 years and we've never been disappointed. Especially for the price! Staff was super friendly; comfy, modern room; great location in the theatre district and time square; room service breakfast (from the Serafina) was excellent
Cons:Only annoyance was that there was a sign at check in offering 20% off breakfast for guests; so we ordered accordingly, only to find out that room service wasn't eligible. If the food wasn't delicious we probably would've made a bigger stink about it
