Smart Stay Hostel Munich City

The room was not ready when I arrived at 8.30 pm. I was asked to wait for a double check of the room. Then I had to endure endless noise of doors slamming in the corridor all night, the garbage and hair of previous customers in the bed and bathroom, no towels provided, an outdated and smelly mobile heating unit for heating the cold room. An uncomfortable and sleepless night payed 198 € ! Absolutely shameful

Dirty room

The linens were clean and as far as hostel accommodations go, the bed and pillow were comfortable. Staff was friendly and easy to converse with. Location was only two blocks from Oktoberfest, much closer than I realized.

WiFi did not work in the hostel room, outlets were far from the beds, shower continuously flooded. Lobby area and “amenities” left a lot to be desired.

Location was great only two blocks from Oktoberfest, restaurants and public transportation around. Thumbs up to Antonio at the front desk!

Where do I begin... even though my bed and sheets were clean, there was tons of trash behind my bed. I found that out when I was looking for plugs cause there were barely any in a room for 6. No bed lights and the room light was pretty dim. Bathroom was disgusting. Was not cleaned when I check in or the whole time when I was there for 3 days. The shower and sink were clogged and kept flooding the whole bathroom. On the third day, it flooded the room too and somebody finally came after having several complaints on the front desk. They said they’d bring towels to dry out the room and never came back so there was a huge puddle right at the entrance of the room. Just gross. Also super loud, no isolation what so ever. Breakfast pretty mediocre. Internet didn’t work in the rooms at all. Lobby was in bad shape too, not nice to hangout at all, only did it for lack of options. Could manage for a short stay but one of worst hostels I stayed in Europe overall.
