Knew where this apartment was located as I have been to Monte Gordo many times, so no surprises. We were able to check in early and the room was available immediately. Clean and tidy on arrival. Staff were very helpful and were great when Portugal locked down due to Covid-19; although reception staff in masks and surgical gloves was a bit disconcerting but understandable. Communal areas were nice and clean although given the circumstances we didn’t use them.

The room was a little tired but perfectly comfortable and suited our needs. We were on the shady side so got no sun on the huge balcony, but we didn’t ask to move. Could have done with a toaster, oven and a chopping board but otherwise adequately equipped. No complaints to be honest as we got what we paid for. Would certainly go back.

It's not the most modern building in town, but it's still comfortable et very practical. As it was mid January and the hotel wasn't busy, I was kindly upgraded from a studio to a 1 room appartement.

Street side is a bit noisy, as glassdoors let noise go through.

The staff were very friendly

Cockroaches in the room but we were on the ground floor but then we moved to a room on the first floor where there were no cockroaches. Staff were very helpful and prompt to rectify the situation.

Good value for money. Friendly staff. Central location

Beds were a bit hard and an electric kettle would have been great (it took a LONG time to boil water on the hotplates)!

I like the new infrustructure of the beaches of Monte Gordo.

I believe that a modern (apart)hotel of the XXIst century has to have the internet access not only in the lobby. Unfortunately, this is not the case of Calema.

There was no washing up cloth and fairy liquid to wash or clean kitchen. Some areas need upgrading

Regular customers, it's our favorite hotel in Monte Gordo and has the massive plus of allowing pets.

Apart from some repair noise that occurred once, nothing to say.

It need to be better . Specially the quality and quantity.There must be some fruit on the table.

air condition unit should be in the bedroom ,as it gets hot and stuffy at night and if you open patio door. the MOSQUITOS invade.You had to ask at reception(if present or outside smoking) for the barman to attend at the bar in the evening.Uncomfortable beds

Breakfast was a buffet which was OK. Ran out of bread one morning and nobody seemed to want to take responsibility to rectify the matter. So we went without

Location, close to the beach, centre of town and restaurants. Great value for money.

The rooms need upgrading. The Wi-Fi was extremely slow. Although you pay extra for breakfast, the staff on duty seemed to watch what people are taking and the amount they put on their plates, discussing it openly came across very impolite.

Breakfast was regular, not a very big selection, but nice. Excellent coffee. We had dinner only once, not bad but definitedly overpriced. The rooms were nice and comfortable. Beds very good. Bathroom ...

It was cheap, the room had balcony with sea view

No beds! Although we rented a studio and expect a sofabed or something similar, we didn't expect to have to sleep on a tiny fold up bed with a thin foam rubber mattress.

Good size apartment overlooking pool. Kitchen very basic but all you need for a short break. Five minute walk to a lovely promenade and beach.

Breakfast was included in the price but no options for a gluten free diet so waste of money. Travelled with pets and were put on fourth floor despite asking for lower floor at time of booking.

Breakfast is good, however minimal. I.e. even cold water is not realy cold. Coffee is doubt full (automatic)

Size of the apartaman (T2) is really good. Comfortable for 4 adults and 2 children. Close to the beach, restaurantes, and supermarkets.

The bed is very unconfortable for me. It is very close to the busy road, and it is noisy. Swimming pool is extramely cold.

we went out onto balcony and there was old eggshell all over it and it wasnt clean then we set down at the table and there was a used condom in the hedge plane to see

It's a hotel at a good location and helpful staff, good value.

Poor choice, with every breakfast the same with no hot food, no fruit. Great difficulty in getting more bread for toast after 9 a.m. Dogs everywhere including the dining room!

We had a very large road facing apartment, which was excellent and allowed the kids watch the horses in the evening.

The ladies who cleaned, while very nice, could have paid a little more attention to cleanliness.
