Nice stay

Nice ambiance, decoration and cleanliness. Very comfy room.

Staff could be more cheerful. They were thoughtful but could be nicer.

Location of the hotel is good. The bedroom was nice, clean and new finishes. The room had a nice terrace. The swimming pool and gardens were excellent.

The breakfast was poor. The public areas are old and dated

Clean and simple and quiet. The outdoor surroundings the pool and relaxation areas. The room was a double and had balcony and sea view very relaxing. No noise from the streets.

There was one employee from the breakfast section, that was rude and unpleasant on our last breakfast day, we arrived 10minutes before closure which seemed to annoy them.. first time ever I experience such a thing on a hotel... I made official complaint on complaint book as staff should not address clients these way. Just made us want to leave and I left with a bad impression. The remaining staff overall was ok.

We stayed there for 12 days. This is a good hotel, especially for people over 60 y.o. When we stayed there about 90% of guests were in theirs 60's and 70's. - a room was clean and spacious - ocean’s view on was very nice - breakfast has a good choice of food - close to a beach (4 mins walk) - close to small shops and restaurants (3 mins walk) - service at a reception desk was helpful and professional - there was no problem with changing our booking - nice fitness room (nearly nobody used it)

Overall my feeling is that this should be 2-3 stars hotel (not 4 stars). In details: - restaurant is closed in middle of the day. we tried to take a dinner 3 times and it was always closed. Fortunetelly there is a very nice restaurant in a hotel next to ours which is always oppened and is very nice - we booked a double bed room, but we got 2 single beds. all renewed rooms have single beds - nobody except pigeons used swimming pool outside - I did not feel confortable with people that stayed at this hotel - Spa is old and relativelly small (paid extra 15 Euros per enterance). In the spa there is an indoor swimming pool which is nice as far as you do not look on old concrete ceiling. There are 2 saunas which are good, but nothing close to a standard of 4-5 stars hotels I visited before. There is also an ice well which I liked a lot. Spa massages are good. - breakfast is nearly the same everyday. There are changes in sussages and cakes everyday. There is no warm food except tosts, omlets and susages. Breakfast finishes at 10.00 am - in our room there were ants, which is a kind of strange because the room was on 5th floor - you cannot order any tea/coffee neither any food to your room. there is no electric kettle in a room, but there was a fridge

Pool and Garden area is very good.

Hotel is a bit dated and with only a part of the hotel being refurbished. Little information provided about the facilities and not an welcoming experience.

Parking can be problematic as there is not enough space in the hotel’s parking lot. Street parking can be difficult.

There was some facilites that should be for free for the price we payed...like sauna.. jacuzzi ..

Rooms we a good size, the shower was nice and big. Facility were good.

I booked this hotel as it had a spa pool as I wanted to relax in the indoor spa that evening but when I arrived I was told that to use the spa for only 2 hours there was an extra cost of €15 per person. If I knew this before I would have booked a different hotel.

Food reused at breakfasts ....scrambled egg had a crust on it! Also tomato juice tasted a bit sour ...previous day's juice ! Also rather zealous housekeeper on top floor .

Staff was friendly and willing to help (even within the August confusion of Algarve). Breakfast was relatively good with different things to chose from (although no natural orange juice which is strange in Algarve where they have the best oranges!). The hotel also has a great perspective over the ocean (although one must book 5th floor or above). Nice pool outside (although not very deep, only 1,50m) and nice space to relax on the rest of the territory.

What could have been better: first of all this is not a four stars Hotel, this is a four star hotel according to Portuguese Hotel guidelines (which unfortunately seem to be below standard). The room was a Double room and there were two beds side by side which is NOT the definition of a double room. Breakfast was not re-stocked until the end meaning that 30 minutes before end of breakfast hour there was already a very limited choice of bread, fruits and so on (water was non existent). In the bedroom there was no cotton pads, no mini bar, no iron, no hear cotton swabs. The parking was 15 EUR per day - outside one could get it for 10 EUR a day (a four star Hotel should do the utmost to please the customer, charging extra for a parking which is even more expensive than outside is not the way to go).

booked a suite, what we got was a two bedroomed apartment, no hot drink making facilities.

Food location

Charging for safe in room, charging for towel and charging on top to refresh towel after a day when the first clerk told us it was included.

Room are good size for my family very comfortable for our stay.

Not much activity there, no entrainment!

The staff were great and near town and beech.

Small double bed in junior suite. Id recommend two singles. Plus seaview not worth extra £. As you'd need binoculars.

Breakfast was amazing, and the outside facilities are fabulous for the price we paid. I gotta leave a word for the staff, very professional and friendly, no complaints about them.

My bathroom could be a little bit more cleaned as i found some little ants there. Also my bathroom door couldn't close because the lock was broken.
