The property was clean & the maid was very nice that was about it.
I’ve never had to leave a bad review for a hotel. But people need to know. 1. Watch your credit card for undisclosed fees. I paid through booking.com got a total. The next day realized they charged me $30.00 more than what I agreed to. I figured it was a mistake & they would fix it once I told them. WRONG! This is where it gets bad. The staff acted friendly, right up until I asked why they over charged me. The little guy at the front desk was down right rude & combative. Which really put a damper on our entire trip. If I hadn’t already prepaid I would have taken my business elsewhere. He has no business working in customer service. 2. The room was small but clean. But the entire room smelled like mold. I thought maybe the room had just been closed up & after we turned on air it would get better, nope it smelled terrible the entire weekend. 3. The mattress is so bad I can’t even begin to tell you how bad we couldn’t wait to get back to a real bed. You could literally hear the springs every time you turned. I felt like I had a huge spring stuck in my thigh the entire night. 4. No hot water the entire time we were there. I asked them about it after our first night of cold showers, they said they would send someone to check it out. Then said it was fixed. But not to put it on high & that it would take awhile to get hot. Wrong again. If you let it trickle after 15 minutes you might be lucky to get luke warm water at best & that’s being generous. 5. Day of checkout, the owner was there. I thought maybe I would try try talking to him. Well that didn’t go well, he got super defensive & barely heard a word I was saying, the entire time the little desk clerk behind him kept screaming over his shoulder. It was so rude. I had to tell him twice that I wasn’t speaking to him. So anyway, the owner kept blaming booking.com for the over charge, but booking didn’t take the extra $30 they did.
The beds and location.
Weird parking and small bathroom.
Nice motel. They took additional fee for parking.
The room wasn't clean enough. I've found the cut nails on the bed-side table. It was disgusting.
Nothing worth reviewing other than to say, don’t waste your money. Pay a little extra for comfort, peace of mind and serenity, for a true relaxing vacation experience elsewhere. Zen is not the place for harmony and relaxation. Unless you like ants, col bathwater, and roaches, there is Nothing zen about that hotel. The beds are terrible, you cannot control the ac on the second and third floor, even during 90 degree weather, the unregulated ac makes the room feel like it’s 100 degrees. It’s a pretty raunchy place. Never again!!!!
Ants in bathroom. Drawers dirty with hair and other previous renter belongings. Bathroom were Filthy and no hot water.
I was totally shocked how clean and welcoming Hotel Mimo is. The front desk lady was extremely nice. Once I entered my room I was greeted with a refreshing and clean environment. The bathroom was spotless. The shower head was amazing. I took an amazing shower. The rate was totally affordable. I will defiantly come back to this hotel again the next time I visit Miami.
WiFi could of been a bit faster but other than that everything was awesome.
