The staff was great..the convenience and location was good..room service was great.. liked the security of elevators..that you had a smart key accessibility..front desk was friendly and efficient...the bellman were helpful
Housekeeping was not so great...had to request Kleenex and toilet paper all the time...they never cleaned my room until almost 4:00..so I didn’t always have clean towels and never got the bottle water they leave in the room together ready to go out..They need a lot of help fixing room service...went to the bar one night and the service was awful...it was more important to clean the bar ...I wanted a good 10 minutes before I was acknowledged..there were two bartenders and a half bar..I realize the service charge is on the bill but they could care less..the front door men could have tried to help with opening the doors..they just talked and didn’t even try to open the automatic door..I had a dog and had to open it myself since there is not access to open the door with a button

Overview
The East, Miami, is part of the Swire Hotel, the third under the EAST brand. It is located 15 minutes away from the Miami International Airport. The hotel is close to popular shopping districts like Design District, South Beach and Wynwood, which are all located in Downtown Miami. It features beautifully designed guest rooms, which offer the comfort of home for all types of travelers. This inspired hotel was designed by the architecture firm Arquitectonica.
The East room choices include eight luxury suites, 89 one, two and three bedroom suites, and 255 guest rooms. Some of the rooms feature beautiful views of the Biscayne Bay and Miami. Suites offer kitchen and laundry facilities in addition to the other services and amenities of the hotel. Each room also features a balcony for guests to enjoy the Miami sunshine.
The East also features several meeting room options. The outdoor pool can also be used for private parties. The fitness center is open 24 hours a day.
There are many dining choices available, from casual to cozy romantic. The Domain has a delicious menu all guests can enjoy, including pastries, coffee, sandwiches and salads. For more tranquil meals, the Quinto La Huella offers personalized service using a wood fire oven with indoor and outdoor tables. The Pool and Deck also offers comfort food and cool beverages prepared by the Quinto La Huella.
