The Lord Balfour Hotel

At the time of booking the resort fee included beach towels, chair and umbrellas. Once we arrived and was ready to go to the beach, I was told the hotel changed management and it was no longer offered but no compensation could be given. Need more wash towels and was today they would not be ready until the following day. Mind you I requested these at 9am!

Absolutely nothing.

The hotel has roaches and blood stains. When I complained about the roaches, I was told to “not let the bugs bite (with a laugh)”. After I complained, I was told nothing could be done about it until i was eventually switched to another room...days later. (They had no clean rooms available so me and my guest were split up) The property doesn’t clean the rooms before your stay, while you’re staying there and after the stay. The property manager is rude and unreachable. The list goes on.

I've stayed in hotels for the past 25 years. This was one of my worst experience. My room had 2 queen sized beds and it was the smallest room I've ever seen. After fitting 2 queen beds there was no space left to even walk. Smallest side tables which can not be used for anything. Small closet, the doors of which won't open. Miniscule bathroom. They charge $10 resort fee per day which includes towels and beech chairs. When I asked for extra towels, the front desk lady sternly mentioned "you have already taken 4 (when I had taken only 2 and wanted 2 more) and refused to give anymore). Jose at The front desk was very helpful and always smiling otherwise this is a rip off. No pool, awful drinks and nothing else I would recommend. Stay away from this place. I had horrible experience. Hope you don't!!!

The staff is clients friendly,however not always professional, perfect location close to sobe attractions and beach

Noise in the rooms due to thick walls, very average choice of brekfast food

The main receptionist C.Marthine, I believe was her name, was very very rude and made my visit feel very unwelcoming. She Had an issue with my roommates and I sitting in the lobby area.

We could hear every noise from the street. Difficult to sleep well.

Only complaint I have is I smell smoke coming into my room. I guess I was next to a smoking room. I prefer non-smoking.

yes, the breakfast was included in the price that I have paid, but it was really poor, there where only muffins, toast (with nothing on it, no eggs or bacon) and sereals availble
