Everything was perfect
everything
Very good
Clean and comfy!
Paid electric car charging, not courtesy charging.
No complaints
Everything. The pool was open, with sensible COVID precautions. Breakfast buffet was assisted; a picker collects what you desire and brings it to your table. Parking fee was reasonable. Room was spacious and the shower room compact yet not claustrophobic. I would come back here on my next visit to Lisbon.
The WiFi was slow and kept disconnecting which made FaceTime calls with family back home very difficult.
Wonderful experience
Great value for money, staff were very nice and friendly, very happy with the room which was spacious and clean, had a wonderful breakfast too.
Amazing
Great hotel amazing staff
Convenient location. decent amenities. very friendly and accomodating staff
cleanliness could be improved more so in current context (need dusting in the window sill and clean/desinfect the door lock)

I had stayed here before. I really liked the hotel. This time I found it very strange as the restaurant and bar were closed. You had to have breakfast in your room. I didn’t like the breakfast. Every morning it was a dry roll with ham and cheese. Neither the cheese or ham were nice. You also got a bottle of water, an apple, a little croissants and tea or coffee. I know we’re going through a pandemic but surely they could produce something better than that? The staff were lovely in very difficult times. To be honest I was there because my husband was in hospital. I think had I been on holiday I would have gone home!
The hotel was very clean , well located and running the best they can during the restrictions.
It would be unfair to comment under the present virus restrictions.
Room to hot, even with AC running
Nice and warm indoor Pool, helpful staff, early check in possible
Overall quality of room not satisfactory. Needs refurbishment in relation to (quite high) room rate. Location close to congress Center. But also close to big Road.
Staff are excellent, the Cape Verdan girl in breakfast, the bar staff
Wofi does not work, constantly disconnecting

Modern and spacious rooms with all comfort. Restaurant has a nice buffet and the breakfast is complete and nice. Friendly staff.
Location is a bit out of town, so not the best if you want to explore the city. But, then again not far from Belem Tower and the monastry.
There was not enough electrical outlet, wifi was really bad, you can hear everything from room next to yours and all the hotel have some bad smell. Totally bad!
The evening meal in the restaurant was dreadful and extremely poorly prepared. Both the vegetables and chips were cold and had to be sent back.
The staff member in the bar (older with grey hair) who was on his own serving all people worked so hard and was doing more than the best he could. The interior of the room. The promotions.
Situation of the room, no nice view. No toiletries There is no atmosphere in the bar, no music and quiet apart from the opera. Not enough choice of restaurants. The staff not outstanding at reception.
Great size room for a family of 4 and some great views of the bridge.
A bit noisy.
Everybody was very kind, i liked the food too.
Good location for my purposes - close to Lisbon Congress Center, relatively far from touristic center of the Lisbon city. Good gym&bath facility. Tasty breakfast (except coffee)
The Wi-fi internet connection was bad in my room (6th floor). It's was constantly varied from strong to weak until completely off and not every time was able to reconnect itself without my actions. So I was missed important Whats'up call when I was asleep. The coffee at the breakfast was poor. No coffee machine, just some metal bowls with already made coffee - it was definitely not the level of this fine Hotel in my sight.
Clean and well equipped Friendly staff Location near Belem, close to tram
Rooms facing the overpass can be noisy
Everything perfect, easy process, beautiful view, amazing breakfast! Thank you very much for the free room upgrade!! Will always come back to this hotel when traveling to Portugal! Amazing breakfast with a view of Bridge 25 Abril!
we can hear the noise of cars and planes. The rooms could me more sound proof.
The hotel's location is perfect if you need to attend a conference in the venue next door. The public space is well looked after and the elevators function well.
We had a superior room which was noisy for two reasons: you could hear traffic and there was an extra door to the next room that really did not keep sound. The cleaning did not go as planned and on the second day when we specifically requrested cleaning (we put the sign on the door around 2 pm), it was rejected (with a polite note saying that they respect that we do NOT want our room cleaned). The cleaner had also made a mistake with the toiletries etc (on three nights). Small things but they amount to the fact that the superior room really was not a value for money.
Clean hotel with spa (sauna, steam room small swimming pool) and gym. Staff: friendly and helpful. Room was fine, but not extraordinary. The two twin beds are not always comfortable. Three elevators assure quick and easy access to upper floors. Dining is available at reasonable cost and even wine is affordable; room service is also available. There is mini bar in the room serving as fridge as well.
The furniture in my room was seemingly old. The carpet beside my bed was unstable, which is inconvenient at night when you go to bathroom. Location is a bit far from center, you need to take public transport or taxi. Breakfast opens from 7.30 which may be late for those who start the day early. At this time is also crowded, but around 9.00 you can have nice comfortable breakfast with the same choices as at 7.30. The spa opens at the same time as breakfast is being served.
Location.
Noise coming from the bridge and airplanes landing.
For this purpose; good location, great breakfast
30 min with two emp. to checkin. I´m still waiting 24/7 roomservices order. Poor minibar.
The bed was so comfortable.
The table was loose.
Close to the conference center
There were no tea-coffee making facilities even though he room I stayed at was a junior suite.
If you have an event in the Congress Center, the hotel is perfectly located, at only a 5-minute walk.
The hotel is extremely crowded with large groups that enter and exit at the same time, blocking the elevators at the same time, or hogging the entire breakfast hall, making it uncomfortable for the rest of guests staying.
Nice place with views of Tejo river and bridge. Spacious rooms. Good WiFi / Internet access.
Elevators queue. Bathroom would need refurbishing. Disappointing breakfast to be in Lisbon.
Location Staff
Rooms need updating The suite I had was the worst suite I’ve ever had Annoyed being charged the amount for a room which was so dated, dark
Close to convention center. Helpful staff.
Room pretty basic.
The pillows were lovely
Too noisy and no outside space to relax
Quality of Services
Breakfast was nice. The view on the bridge is excellent
The rooms' walls were too thin, so I could hear everything in the neighboring rooms. One couple were talking till 3 am, so I couldn't sleep at all and was destroyed next morning
Too loudy , the price is too high for a hotel at that level
It’s fairly close to eating places
It’s very old. There is no iron or ironing board. There is no latch for the door inside the room so anyone can come in if they have access card like the service staff. It happened once when I was bathing and the staff got into my room by mistake.
Close to Congress
Busy staff Poor breakfast Noisy outside
Everything
Everything
Good in general. Some staff members were very professional, friendly and helpful.
Some male staff members were a bit impolite and not so customer-oriented. They need to be trained on how to be courteous and guest- oriented. At times, I felt they were so rude and unwelcoming.
Location
Room way too hot. Carpet in the room. Soulless lobby.
The hotel is very comfortable and good value. The location is great with easy access to the city and the riverfront.
Service at the bar was very slow i.e. waiting for service and the lady behind the bar decided to clean a table instead of serving us. Additionally, the small indoor pool was great but perhaps there could be an adults only swimming time for one hour per day (?) The pool was divded into sections, but there were many families who were using the pool right after breakfast so the divisions weren't observed.
BREAKFAST, Staff and the Health center
Mini Bar was a bit expensive. 2.5€ for a 20cl bottle of Water. $_$
Friendly staff.
Perfect location for congress center Lisbon (4 min walk) Otherwise not so convenient to visit city center Lisbon Good: fitness center Breakfast: good, but lacks some things such as squeezed oranges - but overall quite good Staff super kind and collaborative Good laundry service Rooms with very good isolated acoustic isolation - important because of the noise of the bridge
Swimming pool: children size and only indoor - OUTDOOR pool absent, it is a pity Rooms: ok but need renovation especially closet and tv The bridge is too close and VERY noisy
Nice location Nice view Close to convention center Near the river
My wallet was stolen in Lisbon
The location of the hotel is great and rooms are nice and clean.
,poor ventilation in the bathroom and aircon did not cool the room down .
You need to prepare the noise from outside at night as well for good sleep!
the staff running the bar in the evening were very good and polite and I wish they were running the reception desk !
the staff on arrival were very bad and rude. my room was not ready even though I had arrived an hour and a half after check in. perhaps they were having a bad day.
Breakfast was good, rooms comfortable. Good location if you are at the nearby conference centre but otherwise the location is quite unappealing. Trams into the centre run frequently though (3 euros each way).
No ironing board available for pressing my shirts. Apparently this was hotel policy for my own safety. To add to this, the ironing service was not available after 6pm, hardly a good combination when you have business meetings the next day. I complained and I was lucky that the lady was late leaving that day and reception managed to catch her and credit to her, she stayed and pressed a couple of shirts. The hotel has a small swimming pool and has "hydro-bike" classes but I was told that it was up to the instructor if she allowed hotel guests into the class. I would have to turn up and ask. Credit to the manager, after I complained he later called me to say if I wanted to, he would arrange that I could join the class. As it happens, my work didn't then allow me to.
The staff and the location
The furniture was a little old and dusty! No balcony for smoking. There are smokers visitors, they should receive some dedicated spaces for smoking, not only the outside area.
Yes And excellent room service
reception is slow. Hotel is located below a major bridge with a metallic road, therefore it is very noisy, so the hotel has the windows locked. when you arrive you will be greeted by a very very hot room. we were traveling with our kids, and asked for a room for 2 adults + 2 children. when we arrived at night (quite late) to sleep, there was only 1 extra bed. rang the reception but no one answered. had to get dressed again a go there myself! long story short, it took them well over 1 hour to get the extra bed. next morning we noticed there was only 2 towels for a party of 4.... in short... very poor personnel… bad location... avoid it.
Staff was helpful.
Always, when coming into the hotel and room, something smells after fishing boat or chlorine. When the conditioner was turned on, the smell disappeared.
The only good points are the breakfast and car park.
Overpriced for a dated hotel rooms. Shouldn’t be 4 stars at all. During all well holiday in Portugal, this was the worst we had out of all the 4 stars we had.
Location
Spa
close to convention center and breakfast nice, clean.
distracting from the city center and disturbing train noise
Nice room. Opera song on evening. Good breakfast and dinner. Turkish bath. Location directly under the Bridge, and near Experience Museum.
Sauna was not available. We got some wrong information from receptionists (like wellness center worktime next day).
The hotel is beautiful and very central next to the 26th April bridge.
The staff were not very friendly on check in and we had to wait 25 min in between each course in the restaurant. Room service didn't even bother yo pick up our order.
The service was very helpful with restaurant bookings and advice, the location was excellent for our conference in the Congress Centre, the other amenities and bathroom were top draw. Excellent buffet breakfast too, for a small fee.
There was no ironing board available in the whole hotel, due to "security reasons"! This meant I had to pay for a simple pressing of a jacket, which I could have done myself. Also, there were not enough convenient powerpoints in the room, which was very disruptive and unusual for a classy hotel. Plus the WiFi was also extremely unstable and unavailable on occasions.
Swimming pool and breakfast were great. Main lobby area very attractive also.
A little out of the main centre city, and road in is not pedestrian friendly.
Location and Hotel was very comfortable!

We liked the room. The staff person on when we arrived on Sunday, April 6 at about 6 am was extremely nice and gave us directions to Bellam and the pastry shop so he started our stay off nicely.
The exercise facility does not open until 7 am. That is too lat for me in general. That disappointed me.
The breakfast was very good, like an international breakfast. The hotel is beautiful and there is an indoor swimming pool wonderful!!!! The location has an excellent view and it is near some tourist locations. It is very near of all and with a view of Tejo.
I loved using the swimming pool was great and nicely heated.
I felt that the front desk staff could be more efficient.
We had no choice, had to stay here because our friends were attending a conference at this property. The room was small which was fine but there were no bath towels. We had just arrived after a long day. I went to take a shower and was surprised to find no bath towels. It was a very hot day and the sun was streaming into our room, it's like an oven and we couldn't open the curtains. Luckily we only stayed one night. No thanks, not again.
The location is perfect
The rooms are dated, especially the bathroom. The staff was hit and miss, some took hospitality serious others went out of their way to make you not feel welcome
Wery good. Thanks.
If posible to open window.
Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Easy to get taxi's and a very comfortable stay. Hotel was very clean and presentable. Would definitely stay again
A little further out from the centre but only a 10 minute taxi ride.
Breakfast
Slow internet. I ended up using my own data plan to do my work while at the hotel
Please make refill on Instant Coffee every day.
Location.
Overall room quality. A bit old with need to refresh. The bed couch quality was not at 4* level. Bathroom needs refresh also.
The staff was kind.
The bed were hard as a rock, the bathroom was tiny. It was noisy. I couldn’t sleep correctly in a week.
this is the third time I stay at the Vila Gale Opera. Is a very nice hotel, for the money, with a excelente stuff and very large lobby where you can sit confortable if the weather is not nice. I will be back
I like everything
The property was very clean and modern. Nice fridge in the room and a safe, too. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and worked well. Good restaurants within walking distance and lots of small grocers and bakeries for the necessities. They have an ATM right in the hotel that works on the Plus network. There is a mini split in the room so it is very easy to get the temperature in the room just right. Breakfast was amazing either almost anything you could want including eggs, fruit, meats and pastries.
It was a little far from the center of the city but you could easily take the tram or a taxi there. The pillows were a little hard but I like them very smushy The elevators were a bit cantankerous, which was a bit trying when the tour buses arrived. But you never felt like you were in a tourist hotel.
Staff at the top - always dispo to help and suggest Room at the top - large, clean and comfortable Breakfast at the top - various, nice the idea of omelettes done at the moment
Very smart. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was good.Enjoyed the indoor heated pool.
No iron available. Stayed at the hotel for a conference. Had to give in clothes for pressing as there was no iron for me to use.
Spacious rooms, good air conditioning and comfortable beds.
Location is not very nice, and a bit noisy near the bridge. The swimming pool is a bit to warm. The coffee in the room is not replenished daily.
Everything
Very clean hotel
Friendly staff rooms good size and clean would visit again.
Bar prices a little expensive .
They promised us to wake up and they forgot, but did not apologize...but we did not miss the plane and everything was OK
Not a lot

The breakfast was not anything special. We had a pretty boring view from our room, as the windows were was turned towards the backside of some buildings.
Nice location (close to Belém) and a nice view of the bridge.
A bit expensive
The hotel is well - located, elegant and clean. Delicious breakfast. Basically - great!
The location may be both a pro and a con - the proximity to the bridge makes it a little bit noisy.
Walking distance to Congress center.
Need to keep windows closed due to traffic over bridge and airplanes noise approaching the airport.

Location pleasant
Too expensive
