Hanoi La Siesta Hotel & Spa

The breakfast was delicious and there was a huge variety of food to select from. The staff were very friendly and attentive - they looked after our every need. We loved the location being in the busy, lively Old Quarter but only because we could retreat to the tranquility of the hotel. Our room was extremely quiet and our bed very comfortable. We would highly recommend this accomodation.

Location was excellent, right in the middle of the Old Quarter hustle and bustle, close to the beer street but nestled in a quiet side street. Room was clean and well pointed. Standout was staff at the hotel. They were super friendly and went to great lengths to ensure a memorable stay, which we had. Overall, we received a very personal service from just about every member of staff from the folk manning the entrance (once when we ordered a Grab ride, he called the Grab driver and led us to the pick up point which we had incorrectly put in) to the front desk and restaurant staff. In particular, Scarlett really went beyond expectations. She not only provided excellent recommendations for sights and places to eat, but she also put some context to each advice such as wearing hat/sunscreen for outdoor/sunny tours and when to avoid bad traffic during attraction visits. She set up a watsapp chat that allowed us to get information easily, which was very helpful. We received advise and input from Scarlett even when she was off duty, which exemplifies the work ethic we observed. For example, when she was off duty, i mentioned that there an aircon leak and she had already called the front desk to get it sorted when i went down to report the issue. The leaking aircon arose because of some repairs needed at the nearby sauna. It was not very inconvenient, but the hotel was very gracious in charging only half the room rate for the day that the repairs occurred. This gesture, though not necessary, was very much appreciated. There is so much to do and enjoy in Hanoi, but our stay at the La Siesta Hotel and Spa made our holiday truly memorable.

Above all, the staff led by Alice is uniformly terrific! They bent over backward to accommodate us and could not have been more helpful, including moving our luggage to another hotel we had booked earlier in Hanoi and helping us with difficult travel arrangements for Ninh Binh. They are attentive to everyone and make you feel extremely welcomed. Breakfast is excellent and there is a Happy Hour daily at the bar.

The rooms are small and the bathroom is very small with dim lighting which is difficult when applying makeup. We mentioned that to them during checkout and they apologized profusely and made a note to get that fixed in the future.

We had such a fantastic stay the staff are the best I’ve ever come across on my travels they are so accommodating and truely looked after us. Nothing was a trouble for them. They helped us book tours and ensured we were 100% happy. Front desk were amazing and their Batman dipper and bar made incredible cocktails and made our stay a memorable one.the room were well presented, the beds were comfortable and the room was really quiet.

We loved our room and the bed was really comfortable. The evening meal was superb including the wine. The breakfast has made to order food as well as a fantastic buffet. I love the home made yogurt and selection of fresh fruit. The pancakes with cooked fruit were good too. I appreciate the complimentary bottles of water are bigger than some hotels provide and the water in the minibar is a reasonable price.

Only small details: The strawberry jam served at breakfast was too sweet and poor quality. The cheese selection was small and not to my taste.
