Riad-Boutique Borj Dhab

We spent 3 weeks hopping around Morocco, staying in multiple riads. Riad-Boutique Borj Dhab Fez was by far our favorite. The accommodations were phenomenal, the staff stellar. They arranged for us a driver for our day trip to Volubilis, set us up with an awesome hammam experience, and hooked us up with a local guide, Hannan, who took us on a whirlwind tour of the Medina, the pottery co-op, and the tannery. She was so amazing we wanted to take her with us!

Zero complaints!

Taking into account the destroyed/ruin-like appearance of the entire buildings in the medina, it was a huge surprise how amazing and well taken care the Riad was on the inside. The most beautiful Riad we were on and the room was great, really spacious, clean and in great conditions. The breakfast was amazing, the best one on the trip as well!! The staff was also great and very helpful.

The Medina of Fez is basically a huge labyrinth and getting into the Riad the first time is not an easy task also because the entry is in a small opening in the narrow streets and it's not very noticeable. Be aware of local people trying to help you just to ask you for big tips in the end.

Everything and especially our host Nour and guide Hannah. These two crazy positive persons really made our stay. Even though we had only one day, they made sure we got the full experience of both the riad as well as Fes itself. I can honestly say that we felt like a king and queen. The whole team was so nice and all the food (breakfast and dinner) was really tasty. If we hadn't already planned our next stays, we would defenitley have extended ours here.

Nothing, literally every detail of our stay was perfect.

At the heart of our stay were the wonderfully open and friendly staff. Nour was happy and efficient when booking day trips for Chefchauoen and Meknes for us. Hanan was the best city guide! Both Nour and Hanan have excellent English and service skills. Khalid was always warm and friendly, he was speedy and a great help with our bags. We had a quiet room on the top level, it had a great shower. The beds and pillows were also very comfortable. It was great to have a fridge, and wifi readily available in the property. The Beef and prune tagine was delicious!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. All I can think of would be, a little bit of fruit with breakfast could be a welcome addition. And although we had an air conditioner - sometimes all that is needed is a fan!
