Good location, next to a very beautiful park, 15 mins walking to Las Ramblas and 20 mins walking to Sagrada Familia. The paella that the restaurant serves was the best we had in Barcelona. Relatively good value for money.
the so called "24 hour reception" means that one of the waiters stays there the whole night to unlock the door for you when you want to enter the hotel during the night. Due to late flight we had to check in quite late, so the person in question above was the one supposed to check us in. He doesn't speak ANY english and he didn't manage to find our reservation. After spending 30 mins waiting for him at reception (at 1.30 in the night), he finally gave us a room. It was very very very tiny one and extremely nosy and basically not the room we booked at first place. The next day we finally spoke with a lady at reception in english and she gave us the room we had booked initially. In the end of the day the hotel is only 1 star, so you cannot expect miracles. It's an ok place to stay in Barca for a weekend, because it's relatively cheap and located close by the city center and the beach.
The hotel is located central Sagrada Familia is accessible within about 30 minutes of walk. The Barceloneta beach is also also just about 20 minutes of walk away from the hotel. Rambla is located nearby.
It was too loud at Friday night. We couldn’t sleep well.
It was lovely to be part of the local scene as there was a restaurant downstairs; the staff were lovely and the food delicious. Simple but pleasant room overlooking park. Fantastic shower in terms of size and pressure. Very happy with our stay.
It was close to the international train station. The restuarant served good meals, although somewhat expensive. It was well patronized by locals.
The room was very small. There was no English news channel. The double bed was a very small double, but reasonably comfortable.
The hotel is located a few steps of the subway, even walking you can get to a lot of places if you like to... it's very clean, the staff is great and helpfull, can't complain at all. Expensive as all the hotels in europe, but that's what you get for your money everyplace else.
They open for business downstairs at 7 am, and you can hear the steel curtain inside the room, but if you're there to visit Barcelona and not the room, is a wake up call!! hahaha ...so we didn't mind. The room had see thru curtains and no blackouts, but then again, we were up and ready to go by the time the light came in.
