Hotel Villa Gemella

The location was great. There is a supermarket across the street and the "bus stop" is also right there. The village center and restaurants are 10-15 minutes on foot. The back-garden and the view from there are very nice.

I really didn't like this place nor the staff. I chose this place because of the good score it had and the great breakfast and the helpful staff it was recommended for, but I did not experience any of that. I was very disappointed with the room. There was only a small 70x70 window that looked at the inside pool and the staircase. (I especially asked for a quiet room and due to its location it was anything but) The room was very dark and very simple and didn't have a nice feeling. I felt like in a cave and my immediate reaction was disappointment. The bathroom has not been renovated for many, many years. The tiles were in bad shape. The shampoo and the soap were at the cheapest kind, so definitely bring your own. The staff was not rude but rather annoyed with everything I asked for: recommendation for restaurants, booking boat trips, anything I asked I felt that I was a nuisance to them. It could be that they were just tired by the end of the season. My biggest disappointment was the breakfast. They had no vegetables. None. No tomatoes, cucumbers or any of the sort. They had lots of tea biscuits and fruits, but I could only eat bread with butter and cheese. When I asked for vegetables (two days in a row) they said I can buy it myself in the supermarket, which I did from then on. I have never ever been to a place where I had to bring food to the included breakfast. When I checked out they apologies that I was not satisfied with the breakfast and said that if they knew in advance they could have organized it. Well, I told them the first day and was there for days but during my stay, they just suggested that I take care of it. All in all, I would not recommend this place at all and I will surely never return here.
