I ate the magic mushrooms and caused much confusion in my schedule but they manager and staff were more than empathic to a 61 year old solo traveler trying to recapture a dream. I was upgraded to a solo room. I recommend the white tulip to any and all my family and friends just so you can here the stories of the trippin Irishman hahaha !;)~ thank you for the LOVE Amsterdam the white tulip is certainly a grand embassador if the care and concern this loving city shows to those who come to feel safe at home in your warm embrass !;)~ thank you all certainly Joseph Daniel. The location
It is too noisy due to the excellent location which right in the center of the popular district. Not consider good place for relaxing

Its location was preferable for only people willing to be close to bed after getting stoned, that is it, nothing else.
Well, well, well. The rooms were crap, 3 beds in 5 square meters. There was only one electricity plug in the room, extremely dirty towels. They ran out of towels in the middle of the day. The stairs are deadly steep and narrow like worm holes, you cannot climb after a couple of beers. No wireless above first floor. The ringing bell of the church gives you a chance of peaceful half an hour sleep during the whole day. The hostel was quite noisy in addition. The heater was not working and we all got sick due to cold weather. This was the worst experience of my life, I really insist on you to check for another place.

Excellent location for peeps that dont know their way around well as its smack bang in the RLD.
Church Bells! Thin walls made it very noisy! Steep endless steps, but i dont count that against them as its tradish' Victorian lol. Grubby walls! Had to walk through the shower block to get to one of the rooms lol lol. Knees pressing against the door in the toilet lol. But remembering its a hostel in a bustling city centre, you get what you pay for which is a bed to get your pan down on after a hazy day lol. So good on that level. Oh yeah, the fire alarm went off at 3am lol.
