The key card stopped working thankfully we did not being any of our bags or suitcases in or they would’ve been stuck in there. There was spiders all over the room. There was webs from the spiders all over the bed maki by me think a nest was in the bed somewhere. The front sliding window didn’t lock so anyone could walk up and slide it open. Very unsafe. We were in room 30 for about 2 minutes before we walked right back out and went to turn in our keys and ask for a refund but the front desk lady was gone and we waited 30 minutes along with another gentleman that got locked out of his room, due to the key card not working. The lady never came back, we called about 20 times and the other gentleman was banging on the door and checking the back area to see if the lady was there. After all that I just decided to record myself sliding the key card under the door to the front desk and will dispute the charge later. We left and went down the street to Quality inn and it was a thousand times better. At least in the renovated part we stayed in. No bugs that we could see and the windows locked. Free breakfast in the morning and was just a way better stay. I refused to stay in the spider infested room of the San Juan motel. The lady that worked the front desk at San Juan motel was super nice and I wish the rooms reflected her kindness but unfortunately it was a nightmare especially because I’m deathly afraid of spiders and I’m not okay with the window now securing or the keys randomly not working so you can’t get back in the room. We stay a little bit after to ask the gentleman if he needed us to call the cops or someone for him since all his stuff was in his room to included his phone and keys and he was locked out of the room. He went for a walk and when he came back he could not get back in and the lady was gone so I felt really bad for that guy. He didn’t want to call the police or make a big scene but I didn’t know any other options other than break in the room. I told him my front window didn’t secure so maybe yours doesn’t as well. I told him we were leaving since he didn’t want us to call anyone and he went to go try the window. I hope he got in.
