When to visit Kunming
Looking for warm weather? Then head to Kunming in June, when the average temperature is 20 °C, and the highest can go up to 23 °C. The coldest month, on the other hand, is January, when it can get as cold as 2 °C, with an average temperature of 8 °C. You’re likely to see more rain in July, when precipitation is around 200 mm. In contrast, January is usually the driest month of the year in Kunming, with an average rainfall of 10 mm.

Plane
When flying to Kunming, you’ll arrive at Kunming Changshui (KMG), which is located 24 km from the city centre. The shortest flight to Kunming from Ireland departs from Dublin and takes around 25h 45m.
Train
Located 18 km from the city centre, Kunming Kunming South Railway Station is the busiest station in Kunming. Another popular train station is Kunming Kunming Railway Station, located 2.6 km from the centre.
